Correction: MtDNA depleted PC3 cells exhibit Warburg effect and cancer stem cell features

چکیده
Present: Due to incorrect labeling on the part of the authors, it was discovered that a different set of cell lines was used than those initially published. The authors confirmed that all the research data presented in this paper were based on in vitro studies with human CRPC DU145 cells, and not with human CRPC PC3 cells. Therefore, the correct title for this paper should be: “MtDNA depleted DU145 cells exhibit Warburg effect and cancer stem cell features.” In addition, the gene symbols presented in this paper were mistakenly used. The correct style of gene symbols for any PCR and transcriptome analyses of DU145 and mtDNA depleted DU145 cells in this study should be with all characters italic and capitalized.

MtDNA depleted PC3 cells exhibit Warburg effect and cancer stem cell features
Reducing mtDNA content was considered as a critical step in the metabolism restructuring for cell stemness restoration and further neoplastic development. However, the connections between mtDNA depletion and metabolism reprograming-based cancer cell stemness in prostate cancers are still lack of studies. Here, we demonstrated that human CRPC cell line PC3 tolerated high concentration of the mtD...
متن کاملSupernatant Metabolites from Halophilic Archaea to Reduce Tumorigenesis in Prostate Cancer In-vitro and In-vivo
Halophilic archaea are known as the novel producers of natural products and their supernatant metabolites could have cytotoxic effects on cancer cells. In the present study, we screened the anticancer potential of supernatant metabolites from eight native haloarchaeal strains obtained from a culture collection in Iran. Five human cancer cell lines including breast, lung, prostate and also human...

متن کاملKnockdown of HSF1 sensitizes resistant prostate cancer cell line to chemotherapy
The treatment of prostate cancer patients usually starts with androgen ablation and followed by chemotherapy; however, in some cases the tumor develops resistant phenotype. Combination therapy is currently regarded as a cornerstone in cancer therapy to overcome the drug resistance. Herein, we investigated the combinatory effect of Docetaxel and Trastuzumab with a novel nanomedicine, BCc1. Also,...
متن کاملAnticancer Activity of Curcumin-Loaded PLGA Nanoparticles on PC3 Prostate Cancer Cells
Curcumin (Cur) has been found to be very efficacious against many different types of cancercells. However, the major disadvantage associated with the use of Cur is its low systemicbioavailability. Our present work investigated the toxic effect of encapsulation of Cur in PLGA(poly lactic-coglycolic acid) nanospheres (NCur) on PC3 human cancer prostate cell. In thepresent study, we have investiga...
